SIZE COMPARISON - Junior, Medium and Senior

"THE ORIGINAL PARK SLOPER" STORY

My cousin is a singer/songwriter living in Brooklyn, NYC (John Delore). Tired of his fountains of brilliance scribbled on stacks of crumpled, bleedy and easy-to-lose diner napkins, he commissioned the first Park Sloper. He also named it figuring it would be popular with the artistic crowd in his Brooklyn neighborhood. He still carries the very first model I made for him in 2012.

I'm quite proud of this design. I had been wanting to combine a small wallet with a tiny notebook for some time, so when my cousin called me and requested it, I immediately got to work. The Park Sloper Junior is a compact and simple wallet, tiny notepad and high quality pen.

Now there are three sizes: Junior, Medium and Senior. See below for more details.

A lot of time and effort has led me to these designs, and I stand by their quality and utility.

What’s the right size for you?

Check out this video for a good look at the three models and how they compare.

JUNIOR - the smallest, for those who carry only a few cards, tiny notebook

MEDIUM - more card space and a larger notebook than the Junior

SENIOR - good sized notebook and more carrying capacity, but still back-pocketable

THE PARK SLOPER JUNIOR (PSJ)

"This wallet is a work of art." - Brad, Seattle

Two card slots on the left fit 1-3 cards each, behind those pockets is a large pocket. The large pocket is partially open at the top which makes for easy access to your folded bills as well as business cards or whathaveyous. The space behind the notebook can also be used as an additional pocket.

The open window in the pen sleeve facilitates removing the pen. We keep the stitching off the spine where it receives the most wear and we’ve sized the dimensions exactly so your folded U.S. bills won't be crinkled when the wallet is closed.

Dimensions: 11.5cm x 8.5 cm closed, 11.5cm x 17 cm open
Notebook: Moleskine Volant Extra Small, SlimNote “Tiny”, (2.5"x4")

Two available pen sleeve sizes:
1. Fisher Space Pen Stowaway (smallest) - also fits the Zebra T-3 Mini Pen
2. Fisher Space Pen “Bullet” / Kaweco Liliput

THE PARK SLOPER MEDIUM (PSM)

Three card slots on the left fit 1-3 cards each, behind those pockets is a large pocket.

Dimensions: 13.5cm x 9.5cm closed, 13.5cm x 19cm open
Notebook: Rhodia A7, Clairefontaine A7, (12cm x 7.5cm)
Pen Sleeve: fits many small pens (Fisher Space Pen Cap-O-Matic, Caran d’Ache 849) , perfect fit for the MachineEra Brass Pen (optional add-on)

THE PARK SLOPER SENIOR (PSS)

The Senior fits a 3.5x5.5” notebook and a full sized pen. Two card slots hold 6+ credit cards each. Behind them is a large pocket for folded bills, receipts, etc. A partially open top facilitates access. You can also tuck bills or cards behind the notebook.

The Park Sloper Senior is at home in a bag, a purse or in the back pocket of your jeans. As long as you position the pen along the outside edge of your back pocket, this wallet is comfortable even when sitting (if you look at the outside seam of your back pocket while you are sitting, it remains almost straight, so there is very little risk of bending or breaking pens).

Notebook: Includes a Field Notes 3.5"x5.5" pocket notebook, and it will work with similarly sized notebooks from a wide variety of companies: Clairefontaine, Moleskine, Rhodia, Fabriano, Word Notebooks, Rite in Rain, Doane Paper, Paper Stax, Scout Books, Furrow Books, Slim Note, Denik, Calepino--you get the idea, there are tons of options.

My recommendations for fountain pen friendly notebooks in this size are the Fabriano EcoQuo dot grid, Goulet Pens Tomoe River 68g, and Clairefontaine.

Pen Sleeve: The pen sleeve is designed to swallow the entire pen, including clip, so there is nothing to catch on pockets and such and the tip of the pen is enclosed. The open window in the pen sleeve facilitates removal of the pen. A pen is not included, you must provide your own. The pen sleeve will work with a huge variety of pens — up to 15cm in length and about 12mm in width.

Dimensions: 15cm x 11.5cm closed, 15cm x 22cm open

If you’re considering this wallet because you regularly carry a pen and a notebook, look no further. You won’t find higher-quality or better craftsmanship anywhere else. You’re done. This is it. And the wallet only looks better and better with age and wear. I carry mine in my blazer/jacket/suit pocket or in the back pocket of my jeans on the weekends. Perfect with a Field Notes notebook and Fisher Space Shuttle or Caran d’Ache pen. I keep a bank card, my ID, insurance card, and my gym card in it as well. The left pocket is well-suited to carry 8-15 bills in my experience (dollars and euros both fit fine).

PARK SLOPER NO PEN (PSNP) - Senior, Medium & Junior

We make all three sizes without pen sleeves too. This makes for a more compact package that’s easier on your pocket.

This is a popular option for people who don’t always need a pen or carry one in their bag, etc.
